Jacob Weaver is charged with the rape of a family member.

Story by Steve Mazure

St. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio -- An Amish man charged with the rape of a family member has his day in court.

Jacob Weaver entered a plea of not guilty on Thursday.

The defense wanted his bond lowered so Weaver could return to his community in Somerton under the supervision of community members.

Judge Jennifer Sargus, reached a compromise decision.

She set Weaver's bond at $150,000, but she did not agree to the defense's argument that his community members are willing to watch over him.

She said he will not be released to the community where the child victim in the case still lives.
