Investigators say they now know how the granddaughter of Powerball multimillionaire Jack Whittaker died, but they aren't telling yet. Brandi Bragg was found dead on Dec. 20, more than two weeks after she had gone missing. The 17-year-old's body was found wrapped in a sheet and a tarp outside her boyfriend Brandon Crosier's home on Scary Creek Road in the Putnam County community of Scott Depot. Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Sorsaia said he has been briefed on the toxicology report but declined to reveal the cause of death. He said he plans to meet with Bragg's family sometime this week. State Medical Examiner James Kaplan said he performed Bragg's autopsy himself. He would not confirm or deny that her toxicology reports have been completed, but did say that such testing is much more rigorous than any done in a hospital. The initial examination did not show any trauma to her body. Sorsaia said the investigation into Bragg's death is active, but it's not clear yet whether a criminal complaint will be pursued. He said he wants hard copies of the toxicology report in his hands before he moves forward. He would not say whether or not the results will be made public, but he did acknowledge that there are a lot of people who want to know about this case.
