COAL CITY -- Off-road fun took a deadly turn in Raleigh County Monday.
One teen was killed, another was in the hospital after an ATV crash.
The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department reports the teens were riding the four-wheeler on Coal City Road in Coal City.
Deputies say the 19-year-old driver lost control and struck a power pole.
Both were thrown from the ATV.
The driver was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The 13-year-old passenger was flown to another hospital.
Deputies are not releasing the deceased name pending family notification.
