First ever mud bog at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is a success

By J. Turchetta

WESTON -- You may know that a mud bath can be rejuvenating, but how about if your *truck* takes a mud bath? Saturday, 28 trucks in Weston dove into the mud for a good cause.

You could say it's a filthy, dirty, muddy and fun way to spend a Saturday. For the folks who came out to see whose truck could make it through the muddy mess, it's all about good clean fun.

All sorts of trucks, from customs to stock gave it their best shot. Some made it...others, well, there is always next time.

One this is for sure, kids dig this stuff.

The event even had its own film crew. The folks from Hillbilly Proud were on hand to shoot the event which will make it to their website.

For the Asylum, the mud bog caps off a very busy week, starting with the Ghost Hunters premiere.

While everyone had a good time there were a few hiccups in the first ever event, but nothing too bad.

In addition to being a benefit for the asylum, a portion of the profits from the rest of the event go to Relay for Life.

Another mud bog is planned for later on this month, if you want to know when or find out more information on the asylum click on the link at the bottom of the story.
