We heard some great news out of Marshall County on Monday.

Consol Energy announced plans to build a coal-to-liquids plant.

I’m a huge supporter of coal and finding progressive, clean ways to utilize this wonderful natural resource is incredibly important.

We need to seize this opportunity and bring together the environmentalists, who started raising questions just hours after the announcement, and those who want to help preserve the American way of life.

There has to be a way to bridge the growing divide between those two groups so we can find a way to develop this state’s abundant natural resources.

Hopefully, we can get everyone on the same page and make certain that this vital project gets off to a great start and, more importantly, a clean, green finish.
