Unions are asking voters to allow gaming at the resort.

Story by Adam Baker

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS- -- Voters in one local county will be taking on the issue of gambling on Tuesday.

Unions in Greenbrier County are asking voters to allow table games at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs.

They tried it eight years ago but Greenbrier County voters defeated the referendum.

Union officials say times have changed and conditions are different in the county.

They're hoping voters will pass it now.

Others in the county disagree with the unions.

Some church leaders have organized campaigns to defeat the measure.

A "yes" vote on the referendum is a vote in favor of allowing tables games at the Resort.

A "no" vote is vote to keep tables games out of the resort.
