More couples are choosing to go green.

BECKLEY --  Being environmentally friendly is more than just a trend- - it's a lifestyle.

More and more people are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint - and that includes this season's brides.

Romance may be the undercurrent that drives people to the altar, but in today's wedding, couple's are also choosing to show some love to mother earth.

Spring signifies wedding season, so all month long we are looking at the latest trends in planning the biggest day of a couple's life. The experts say when trying to be environmentally friendly and style conscience, put natural resources to use. This makes you a bit greener and tends to be a little easier on your wallet. The experts say brides should first figure out what they want and plan from there.

"Different things work for different people so we need to start with who is your guest list. How many people are you having. What is the tone that you want to set for your wedding. Of all of the components that you have, what is your most important," said Tanja Daniels-Woods, Director of Conference and Catering at The Resort at Glade Springs.
