ELKINS -- The Mingo Room has been closed for the past couple of weeks while chef Tim White redesigned its lunch and dinner menus.

It reopened for lunch Wednesday and will now be open for lunch and dinner Wednesdays through Saturdays and for Sunday brunch.

"We're very excited about the new opening with the new chef and we're happy with the crowd that came in today and looking forward to a lot of people coming to try us in the future," says Dr. Victor Thacker, Dean of Faculty at Davis & Elkins College.

Thacker says Chef White brings years of experience to the table, having graduated from D&E and the New England Culinary Institute, and worked at a four star resort in Virginia.
