BECKLEY -- Beckley Police arrest a two women for reportedly trying to take purses from other women in public parking lots.
41-year-old Tracy Southard is charged with first degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Police say Southard and 43-year-old Kathy Ann Rollins tried to take a woman's purse on Tuesday. Rollins has also been arrested in the crime.
Police say catching the criminals is made easier when victims can provide details. Beckley Detective Dave Allard says, "Make a lot of noise. Try to get a description of the person, if you can. Get a description of the vehicle or the tag number. Anything that you can give us that will help us be able to track these people down."
Southard is also accused in a purse snatching that happened on Sunday in the Kroger parking lot on Harper Road.
The 57-year-old victim suffered injuries as a result.
Police are looking for a second female suspect in this case.
