BECKLEY -- Several people gathered at the Raleigh County Airport to see Congressman Nick J. Rahall jump from the sky.

The Congressman joined the U.S. Army Parachute Team, the "Golden Knights". After the jump, Rahall was ready for a second jump.

"It was exhilarating. Most exciting moment of my life and to see the beautiful West Virginia mountains and hills from the perspective that I did the first time ever, from that perspective was truly out of this world," said Rahall.

The jump was part of the Friends of Coal Auto Fair. Rahall says it was a bold way for him to show his continued support for those who serve the coal industry and our country.

Clean coal could be a reality. I however do not understand why some folks take it upon themselves to talk down to the miner when all they want to do is feed their family.

There is no such thing as clean coal. Corporate lobbyists paid for this congressman hook, line and sinker. Don't believe me? Go to opensecrets.org and look it up.

If his constituents have an ounce of brain matter, they would call for his removal now.

As a Democrat, I am disgusted with this sleazy politician.
