PRINCETON -- Dealerships will be handing out Cash For Clunker vouchers starting on Monday, July 27.

Trade in vehicles could earn you up to $4,500 towards the purchase of a new vehicle.

Some of the rules include, the car must be a 2001 model or older, it must be drivable, and the owner must have proof that it was insured for the past year.

The government will expire the bill at one billion dollars or in November, which ever comes firsts.

Michael Shrader, sales manager at Andy Clark Ford encourages consumers to make the deal as soon as possible before money runs out.

"It won't take long for that money to go away. Everybody that we're talking to has assured that the money will be gone before the time which is November 1st runs out," said Shrader.
