OAK HILL -- A Fayette County football team is doing more than entertaining crowds on Friday nights.
The players are helping to feed the hungry.
Oak Hill High School is hosting a canned food drive from now until their last home game scheduled for Nov. 6.
The football team set up collection boxes at the school, the Oak Hill Library, Action Printing and Mac's Air.
But the football club is also collecting items at the football games and their asking all of the fans to get involved.
"Oak Hill and the surrounding communities have been good to the Oak High High School football team. They're very loyal, very supportive and it's a good way to give back," said Gay McGuffin, OHHS Football President.
Organizers said they're collecting non-perishable food items as well as baby food.
All of the donations will be given to the Oak Hill Food Pantry.
