PINEVILLE --  A Wyoming County woman is facing charges in connection with the death of a local coach.

Deon Toler, 25, is charged with driving under the influence causing death after deputies said she hit another car head-on on Oct. 13.

Deputies say Toler crossed the center line and hit Stacy McLamb's, 31, vehicle head-on.

The wreck happened along state Route 10, just outside of Pineville.

McLamb, who coached football at Pineville Junior High, was killed in the accident.

Deputies said Toler had methodone and other prescription pills in her system at the time of the crash.

She is out on $35,000 bond.

Mandatory drug testing for welfare will not work. Criminals are criminals and they always will be. It is a mindset. If they test positive and lose their assistance the number of home invasions and robberies will absolutely skyrocket. Decide what you would rather see, people abusing the Welfare system or people breaking into your house to steal your things. Neither of those options are pleasant and neither of them are what I want to see happen to the world but that is the way it is. This has to stop where it started...at the doctor's office.

Another beautiful soul (and Stacy was definitely one) taken from his family and friends way too early.

It bewilders me just how many people in Wyoming County are drug addicts....why do we allow this???? Why are these people able to jump from doctor to doctor to get this junk, why are they on disability, why do WE enable them???!! This man, was trying to go to work to make an honest living so she could just "not care" about anyone or anything and just be high. It has got to STOP Wyoming County!! If you receive Welfare or any type of assistance, MANDATORY DRUG TEST!!! If you fail, you lose it.
