WHEELING -- Preparations are well underway for the annual Wheeling Christmas Parade that is now just days away.
The Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center is one of the many participants in this year's parade.
Their staff and numerous volunteers have been spending countless hours building their float.
Staff members say those along the streets and watching at home will see something special from their entry.
"Our float theme is Cookie Caper. That's going to coincide with our annual Cookie Caper event that we're working on at Easter Seals, and we're so fortunate to have H.E. Neumann's assistance with helping us cut out our gingerbread men," said Easter Seals Community Relations Assistant Jessica Puglisi-Sanders.
"We actually bring a lot of community members onto our float, and we'll have some kiddos from Easter Seals and their parents, and we will have some members of the Channel 7 staff there," Easter Seals Community Relations Director Emily Hores said.
The Wheeling Christmas Parade is Friday in downtown Wheeling.
WTRF will have live coverage of the events at 6:30 p.m.
