SALEM -- A juvenile female was killed and another man injured after an accident in Doddridge County.

The wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, on Route 50 past Wiseman Run Road.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound toward Salem when the driver lost control, ran off the road, went into the median and flipped over on its top, according to the Doddridge County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies are not releasing the name or age of the deceased pending notification of the family, said Deputy K. Miller.

The accident is still under investigation, and Miller said he is not sure if citations will be issued.

So are we to take it that the child was not in a child restraint from the comments that have been made?

To Stuck In Traffic:

While I recognize that you are entitled to your opinion, you are also obligated to use common decency. If you are going to make a comment as heartless and ignorant as the one you left, you should at the very least attempt to be tactful about it. While my family is mourning the death of a child because of one person's mistakes, you are are just being rude and hateful. ONE PERSON'S ACTIONS DOES NOT REFLECT THE BEHAVIORS OF AN ENTIRE FAMILY! Please, before you say something rude to others consider what your comments are going to do to the innocent people involved.

If you have any more ignorant and rude comments, please feel free to contact me because I have quite a few things that I would love to say to you as well.

I know this family. I am related to them by marriage. I know that you may make comments about children wearing seatbelts. Yes all children need to have on a seatbelt, but know is not the time or place to criticize others for their actions. Only God has the right to judge. This is a horrible tragedy that everyone will always remember. My thoughts and prayers go out to the mom and others.

I feel sorry for the family and their loss. I want to add, though, if this is a teenager, then she is responsible for her own well-being; her responsibility as an almost-adult falls into her own hands.

As parents, we can only do so much to protect our children; we can teach them what is right (wear seatbelts), but they can choose to exercise free will when they are away from us and NOT use them - remember, young adults tend to think that nothing bad will ever happen to them.

Pray they get a brain she wasn''t even in a seat belt from what I was told. Kids are only as safe as the person takinf care of them. Yes some things will happen but somethings ARE PREVENTABLE
