CLARKSBURG -- The president and owner of Chick-Fil-A visited the restaurant chain's new Clarksburg location Wednesday.

Dan Cathy, son of the founder S. Truett Cathy, calls himself the "Head of Customer Service".

Cathy spent time clearing tables, greeting guests, and even visiting with kitchen staff.

Chick-Fil-A has 15 stores in the state, and Cathy says expanding in West Virginia has been a profitable venture.

"We have a lot of very loyal customers here in West Virginia and evidently, by the sales that we're generating, they just have a tremendous appetite for Chicken. I think they have a tremendous appetite for the service as well," said Cathy during his short visit. "Plus, the drive thru's fast. I hear they're giving out speeding tickets because the service is so fast."

Mayor Margaret Bailey was also on hand to present both Cathy and the branch owner with keys to the city.

I love Chick-fil-a and how great the customer service usually is. My husband and I visited this one last weekend and it lacked so much customer service and hospitality. I was very disappointed. They should monitor the quality of people theyhire and not just give anyone applying a job.
