Operation Christmas Child prepares to send thousands of gift boxes benefiting children in third world countries.

MORGANTOWN -- Operation Christmas Child is now operating in Morgantown.
The First Baptist Church on High Street in Morgantown is one of the drop-off locations.
It's collecting gift boxes like small toys, school supplies, and personal hygiene products.
The boxes will be sent to children in third world countries.
The First Baptist has already collected more than 1,800 boxes.
"The gift from us to them is a way of brightening their day" said Fern Luttrell, Operation Christmas member.
The church has been collecting boxes all week and plans to wrap up Monday at noon. |
