CHARLESTON -- The Charleston Police Department is holding a high visibility sobriety checkpoint Wednesday, according to a news release from the police department.
The checkpoint will take place in the 1500 block of Kanawha Boulevard from 4 p.m. until midnight. It's an initiative in conjunction with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, continuing the "Checkpoint Strikeforce" mobilization in order to enforce the state's impaired driving laws.
