CHARLESTON --  A Sissonville man is behind bars Wednesday after a police chase overnight.

According to West Virginia State Police, a trooper attempted to stop a driver in Charleston about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the driver, Eric B. Fields, 21, refused to stop his car when a chase started.

Troopers said Fields lost control of his car, hitting two parked cars, sending them into a house. A gas main was sheared in the accident.
