One lucky person is now driving a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Story by Gina Long

The United Way of Southern West Virginia wrapped up this year's fundraising campaign with a raffle drawing Friday.

The big raffle prize, a Harley-Davidson Road King, went to A.H. Dunlap of Crab Orchard.

A cash prize of $3,000 went to Dale Crookshanks of Rupert.

Charlie Sedlock from Fayette County won a $3,100 diamond ring.

Despite a late fundraising start because of Katrina and other nationwide relief efforts, the United Way managed to surpass this year's $325,000 goal.

The United Way of Southern West Virginia helps out over 30 different agencies in Raleigh, Summers, Fayette, and Nicholas counties.

Friday was also the last campaign day for the United Way of the Virginias, which supports counties along the Virginia/West Virginia border.

That United Way raffled off a Harley-Davidson and a cruise at the Cole Harley Davidson in Wythville, Virginia.

At last count, the organization was about $8,300 short of its goal.

That United Way of the Virginias includes Mercer, Bland, Tazewell and Buchanan counties.
