Activities and achievements: Amanda is co-captain of Mount View's varsity volleyball team. She's a student government representative and is active in numerous school organizations, including Beta Club, GEAR UP, the Interact Club and Greater Appalachian Outreach. She also has logged more than 80 hours of community service. 

Plans: Amanda is choosing between the elementary education programs at Bluefield State College and Concord University. After college graduation, she hopes to return to McDowell County as a teacher.
