He is an active member of his church's youth group and often works with the group selling concessions at the Charleston Civic Center to raise money to send other students to summer camp. Nick has been nominated for his school's student citizenship award, the People to People international program and Who's Who Among High School Students.

Plans: Nick's experience in the engineering program at South Charleston High, through which he helped design the school's new concession stand at the football field, has spurred him to study electrical engineering at West Virginia University.
