Activities and achievements: At his high school, Jacob played football and tennis and runs track. With a heavy course load focused on a pre-engineering curriculum, Jacob was selected for the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, the math honorary. He is active at his church and in Mineral County's chapter of Future Farmers of America, and he has a part-time job. 

Plans: Immediately following high school graduation, Jacob wants to attend a Christian discipleship-training program. He then plans to attend Potomac State College to earn general credits he can transfer to West Virginia University, where he hopes to graduate with an engineering degree. While at Potomac State, he also wants to take classes in automotive repair at the Mineral County Vocational Center and use those skills for a side job or a hobby.
