WV Business and Industry Council names officers

CHARLESTON -

The West Virginia Business and Industry Council announced a new leadership team Jan. 25.

The council represents more than 50 business organizations throughout the state.

Jan Vineyard, president of the West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association was elected chairman.

Joe Letnaunchyn, president and CEO of the West Virginia Hospital Association was elected first vice chairman, and Dick Waybright, executive director of the West Virginia Forestry Association, was elected second vice chairman.

Sam Minardi, president of Minardi Public Affairs, was elected secretary/treasurer.

"We are pleased to announce the election of this new leadership team for our organization," Vineyard said in a news release. "They will continue to aggressively press for improvement in our state's business climate."

Vineyard said the organization is encouraging government leaders to improve the state's legal climate, to hold on to the state's positive fiscal condition and to develop a more stable and educated work force.
