Jenelle Armstrong, a registered professional engineer, recently joined Thrasher Engineering. 

Armstrong, a native of Santa Monica, Calif., began working with Thrasher in August.

She previously worked for Brown and Caldwell in El Paso, Texas, for the past 12 years.

She will work in the utility department at Thrasher's Charleston office as a project engineer. She specializes in the detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Armstrong attended the U.S. Naval Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas El Paso in 1997 with a degree in ocean engineering and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1998. She also received her master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Texas El Paso.
