Jackson Kelly attorney Stephen R. Crislip recently was tapped to be the regional director for DRI, which is called "The Voice of the Defense Bar."
Crislip has more than 38 years of law practice and has been a DRI member since 1982. He is general counsel of Jackson Kelly. His focus is in litigation, emphasizing on the defense of cases involving professional liability and business, commercial and general litigation.
CHARLESTON — Jackson Kelly PLLC attorney David A. Barnette was appointed by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin to the Concord University board of governors for a four-year term.
Barnette graduated from Concord College with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1973.
Barnette is a member of Jackson Kelly's commercial litigation practice group. His practice is focused on business law, business litigation, technology and intellectual property matters.
Barnette also is the general counsel to the West Virginia Broadcasters Association.
Jackson Kelly attorney Michael E. Hooper was appointed by Tomblin to the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service for a three-year term.
Hooper is the assistant leader of the firm's land and natural resource development practice group. His practice is focused on business transactions and formation, including those within the field of mineral rights, titles and leases; banking; commercial real estate development and financing; commercial litigation and family law litigation.
