Peoples Bank recently tapped Gregory Ullman, vice president of commercial banking, to manage its new commercial banking center at 10 Hale St. in Charleston.

Ullman, a Marmet resident, has 20 years of financial services experience. He is treasurer of the Appalachian Children's Chorus and is the missions treasurer for the Marmet First Baptist Church. 

The bank also promoted Hurricane native Michael C. Balsimo to the position of vice president and marketing officer. He is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of marketing, public relations, corporate communications and product development efforts for all divisions of the company.

Balsimo graduated from Hurricane High School in 2000 and joined Peoples in 2006 after earning bachelor degrees in marketing, business management and human resource management from Ohio Valley University in Vienna. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management. He serves on the board of directors for Living Stone Inc., a non-profit organization focused on restoring and providing homes for local families in need.
