MORGANTOWN -

Certified public accountant Herman E. DeProspero has been promoted to member in charge of Toothman Rice Certified Public Accountants' Morgantown office. 

DeProspero joined the firm 11 years ago and has worked with clients in all areas of business and personal taxes, financial reporting and business consulting. He also is certified to provide business valuation services to business owners.

DeProspero earned his bachelor's degree from Fairmont State University in 2001, where he majored in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

He also is a member of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is serving as the president of the society's central region chapter as well as vice chairman of the Young CPAs project, which aims to boost professional participation among young CPAs across West Virginia.
