PRINCETON -

Megan Mohn joined the staff of New River Community and Technical College as student program adviser for the Mercer County campus in Princeton.

She moves into the position vacated when Peggy Epling was promoted to director of the school's newly created Center for Advanced Studies.

Mohn will provide academic advising and counseling to new students at the campus, which is located in the Mercer County Technical Education Center. Besides coordinating admissions work, she also will help students with financial aid and advise the Student Government Association.

Mohn comes to New River from Bluefield State College, where she served as associate registrar since 2006. Before that, she spent 10 years as information services specialist at Xavier University in Cincinnati.

A resident of Athens, Mohn earned a bachelor of liberal arts degree from Xavier with a concentration in organizational leadership.
