SHEPHERDSTOWN -

Shepherd University's Dorothy Hively has been accepted to the 40th annual Higher Education Resource Services Institute this summer at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

Hively is an assistant professor of education at Shepherd as well as special assistant to the vice president for academic affairs and director of assessment and accountability.

HERS, an educational nonprofit, provides leadership and management development for women in higher education administration around the world. Since 1972, HERS has served the higher education community by preparing more than 4,300 women faculty and administrators for leadership roles. 

Hively, who came to Shepherd in 2005, earned her bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Old Westbury; a master's degree from Adelphi University; and a doctorate from the Teachers College at Columbia University. This spring she will complete her master's in college student development and administration at Shepherd.
