Jay Rist was hired as chief executive officer for the YMCA of Southern West Virginia.
Rist, who has been with the YMCA for nearly a decade, served as assistant aquatics director, aquatics director, marketing and membership director and most recently as vice president of marketing and membership.
Rist earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from West Virginia University.
Daniel Vass recently was hired as sports and recreation director for the YMCA of Southern West Virginia.
Vass previously served as assistant sports and recreation director for the Y. Prior to that, he worked for West Virginia Power baseball.
Vass earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from West Virginia University.
