An Alderson-Broaddus College administrator has been selected to participate in a year-long Executive Leadership Academy. Tanya Shelton, vice president for enrollment management, is one of 20 senior-level administrators in higher education nationwide selected by the Council of Independent Colleges and the American Academic Leadership.
CHARLESTON (AP) — Kanawha County residents lead the
state in using West Virginia's SMART529 plan to save money for their
children's college education.
The state Treasurer's Office said Monday that Kanawha County residents have 4,534 of the plan's 23,111 accounts.
Monongalia
County is second with 2,164 accounts, followed by Wood County with
1,448 accounts, Putnam County with 1,403 accounts and Cabell County with
1,335 accounts.
Some families have more than one SMART529 accounts.
