Harpers Ferry National Historical Park will host the 150th Civil War Commemorative event, Stonewall Stopped: Jackson's 1862 Valley Campaign, on May 26-27.
Legendary rock band The Moody Blues and 11-member ensemble Tedeschi Trucks Band will headline the spring Clay Center Presents lineup. The upcoming season showcases a wide range of entertainment with everything from dance to dramatic theatre to '80s pop.
The spring schedule includes:
• Ragamala Dance, 8 p.m. Feb. 18 — Combining innovative movement with classic beauty, Ragamala pushes the boundaries of their traditional Indian dance while fully maintaining grace and authenticity.
• Montana Repertory Theatre: Doubt, 8 p.m. March 23 — This compelling drama will take audiences on an intense journey into the church and the confrontation between Father Flynn and Sister Aloysius. This classic American play will leave you with your own doubt, long after the final curtain.
• Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, 8 p.m. April 21 — This show marks the reunion of the first Fab Four at the peak of their creativity. New groundbreaking compositions showcase the subtle blend of acoustical jazz, classical and electric blues fused to produce the unique sound for which Fleck and the Flecktones are best known.
• Rick Springfield, 8 p.m. April 15 — Springfield skyrocketed into stardom with the 1980s mega-hit "Jessie's Girl" and since then he has entertained audiences for more than 30 years. Sing along to your favorite '80s hits like "Don't Talk to Strangers" and "Love Somebody" during this high-octane performance that will rock the Clay Center.
