Harpers Ferry National Historical Park will host the 150th Civil War Commemorative event, Stonewall Stopped: Jackson's 1862 Valley Campaign, on May 26-27. The two-day event will focus on General Rufus
Harpers Ferry National Historical Park will host the 150th Civil War Commemorative event, Stonewall Stopped: Jackson's 1862 Valley Campaign, on May 26-27.
Chilly swimming for a good cause will take place at on the afternoon of Feb. 18 in Morgantown. The Polar Plunge supports Special Olympics in West Virginia.
This is the eighth year for the Plunge. All proceeds go to support Special Olympics athletes in West Virginia. Special Olympics West Virginia provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to over 5,500 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The event will be at the Star City Park and Marina Bottom of University Avenue. Registration begins at noon. A costume contest takes place at 1:15 p.m. and participants will plunge into the chilling waters at 2 p.m. An after-plunge party will be at 3:30 p.m.
