RuggierGeneration Next would not be possible without the work of its panel of judges.
Each year, five previous Generation Next recipients are charged with the difficult duty of selecting 40 people out of stacks of nomination forms.
This year was no different. Many people were nominated for Generation Next's class of 2012, and it was up to judges to choose the honorees. While members of The State Journal staff served as facilitators during the judging to answer questions, the judges made the final selections.
"The State Journal cannot thank its judges enough for the time, patience and care they dedicated to helping select this year's class," said Vonda Matthews, sales coordinator for The State Journal.
"Trying to select 40 people to honor with this award is no easy task. All of the people nominated this year showed deep dedication to the state of West Virginia, their careers and their families. They give back to their community and share the goal of making the Mountain State the best it can be."
