The Randolph County community of Helvetia will celebrate the Fasnacht on Feb. 18-19. Fastnacht is a pre-Lenten carnival celebrated in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

On Feb. 18, the Swiss heritage village will celebrate with a candlelight parade, music, dancing and costumes. KulturHaus Helvetia opens at 9 a.m. The Hutte Restaurant will serve a sampler plate from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The masked ball, complete with belly dancers, is from 9 p.m. until midnight in the Community Hall.

The Haus and Helvetia Mask Museum will open again from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 19.
