Learn about the cultures of many exotic destinations through art activities,
musical performances and more at the next Clay Center
family fun day. Around the World in a Day is set for noon to 4
p.m. Feb. 18.
The complete Around the World in a Day schedule

Travelers' tales, 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
Bagpipe performance, 12:30 p.m.
Musical instrument show and
tell, 1 p.m.
Ragamala Dance workshop
featuring traditional Indian dance and art, 1 p.m.
Remarkable reptiles from
across the globe, 1, 2 and 3

Hands-on African instrument
demo, 2 p.m.
While at the Center, guests can explore world cultures a little more
with three exhibits in the art gallery. See fun and interesting
photographs of animals from the George Eastman House collection in "Why Look at
Animals?" Learn about Native American culture through an assortment of
contemporary prints in "Migrations." And watch an eclipse from a variety of
viewpoints from around the world through a compilation of YouTube videos in
"It's All Relative."
Discover the mystery behind Saturn's famous rings
and find out how this massive gas giant was discovered by early astronomers in
the "Saturn: Ringed World" planetarium show. Plus, surf through the science of
waves in "The Ultimate Wave: Tahiti" and
journey
into the middle and aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in "Hurricane on the
Bayou," two exciting giant screen films. Then,
examine environmental issues involving laundry, composting,
transportation and more in "Sustainable Choices," the newest hands-on exhibit in the Mylan Explore-atory.
All Around the World in a Day activities, with the exception of the
Ragamala Dance workshop, are included with gallery admission, which is free for
Clay Center
members or $6 for children and $7.50 for adults. Films and planetarium shows
