HUNTINGTON -
The Mountwest Foundation, which provides scholarships, loans, grants and other support for Mountwest Community & Technical College, recently announced the election of five new board members.
Three of the new members are Huntington residents: Lou Akers, a consultant with LJA Consulting and director of Champion Industries; Mike Emerson, president and CEO of Huntington Steel & Supply Co.; and Service Pump & Supply Inc. owner Danny Vance.
Other new board members are Manpower's Diane Strong, of Charleston, and Jerry Brienza, of Ashland, Ky., who is the director of Huntington Tri-State Airport.
