Bridgemont Community and Technical College welcomed officials to campus on Wednesday to celebrate the completed $4 million renovation to Davis Hall. The building has served as the headquarters for the college for 41 years.
The year-long renovation included upgrading safety systems, accessibility, energy efficiency and aesthetics. The seven-story building contains general classrooms and a number of specialized laboratories in engineering technology, information technology, business, and the sciences, plus a state-of-the-art dental hygiene clinic, which serves more than 1,100 patients per year free of charge.
"You will feel the excitement of our faculty staff and students to celebrate the completion of the project and how grateful we are the money was invested in community and technical college here at Bridgemont and in Montgomery," said Jo Harris, President of Bridgemont Community and Technical College.
Funds for the renovation were made available from a bond issue for the West Virginia Community and Technical College System.
